Empowering Mothers

Hi there!
I’m Evelyn, but you can call me Evie! Welcome to my Mommy Madness blog!
Just to be upfront, I’m not a psychologist or a doctor, and I don’t have any fancy degrees that give me the authority to dish out parenting advice. I’m being totally honest here. What I do have is the experience of raising four kids, mostly as a single mom, as well as step-children during my earlier years. Trust me, I’ve seen the financial ups and downs, struggled with juggling parenting, work, and relationships. There were some amazing moments and some pretty tough ones too. It’s definitely not always a walk in the park, and you can expect both good times and bad.
Most of my posts come from my own experiences mixed with some research I find online. I’m not claiming to be a world-class writer, so I occasionally lean on AI tech to help me out when I’m trying to organize my thoughts and make my articles look presentable.
At 65, my kids are all grown up and thriving, and I’m grateful every day for how well they’re doing emotionally and financially. Looking back, I wish there had been blogs and resources available when I was raising them; the internet was just getting started back then.
Throughout my life, I’ve always had a passion for technology and marketing, and I’ve been an entrepreneur for most of it. I created websites and online stores to sell products. When I turned 60, I sold my house and got an RV. Since it wasn’t possible to haul around my inventory, I shifted gears and began selling my products at shows and festivals. It turned out to be a great decision since my vendors could ship my product directly to the events, so I didn’t have to lug it around. Plus, I’m enjoying traveling and experiencing all the things I missed while raising my kids.
These days, I still do a few shows, but it’s not as frequent. Things are winding down for me now that I’ve been diagnosed with cancer, so I’m dealing with all that comes with it.
In my free time, I love to read, write, and tinker with technology. That’s why I decided to start this blog about raising kids – something I have plenty of experience with—and I hope it can help someone out there.
Years ago, I wrote for Ezine Articles; some of you might remember them, but they’re pretty much a thing of the past. I also penned blog posts for my online stores, which were all themed around Germany.
Now, I’m diving back into blogging. At my age, it’s a fun way to keep busy. I really miss my kids and those family moments, even the challenging ones, since they were all learning opportunities. Sometimes, I look back and wish I had done things differently. My dad used to say I was like a cat with nine lives, always landing on my feet. That’s the spirit of this blog!
Oh, and just a heads-up: I do use affiliate links in my posts to help make ends meet. I promise I won’t be pushy about it – feel free to click or ignore them. Have a fantastic day, and I hope you enjoy my writings!
